Americans, is Thanksgiving a dress rehearsal for Christmas dinner? Preparing the ol’ gut for the Turkey to come?

Thanksgiving is a high feast day. It is the U.S. end-of-Fall harvest celebration. Traditional foods (all native to North America), and football are the main events .

@badminton is this a very sarcastic thank you to the native Americans for succumbing to the geonocide waged upon them?

@22Michelle No. I believe the U.S. government needs to provide massive aid to the native population. The federal government must re-examine the original treaties with the tribes and give what was promised, or if that is not possible, something of equivalent valve. The native people of North America were terribly wronged. We need to address that.
