Isn't that what Italian Americans do anyway?
4meAndyou · F
@Camelia They do!!! My brother's Italian American/Scottish spouse likes to have spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas! Of course, it's some of the worst spaghetti and meatballs you can imagine...must be the fact that he makes my brother do the cooking...🤣🤣🤣
@4meAndyou I had dinner with a real italian family and was looking forward to it. They used ragu. 😂😂😂😂😂

@Sojournersoul My brother cooked the spaghetti for 20 minutes...and opened up a can of plain Hunts tomato sauce to put over it, because that's what his spouse's Italian mother used to do...and the meatballs were as hard as little golf balls...I tried to give my plate to the dogs, but got caught...and the spouse saved my uneaten food for himself...said he LOVES it...🤣🤣🤣
@4meAndyou I invited them over and made real sauce for them. 😂😂😂😂

@Sojournersoul Thank you!!! Awfully kind of you!!! As for me, I filled up on bread and salad...🤣🤣🤣
@4meAndyou And i am from the midwest. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@Sojournersoul I have heard that real Italian sauce recipes have even made it to the midwest via the Internet...🤭🤭🤭. BTW: My mother grew up on a farm in far western Nebraska, and absolutely hated garlic and...pretty much ANY spices except salt and pepper.
@4meAndyou crazy how that works. My mom was the same salt and pepper

@Sojournersoul And cinnamon, and that was about it.
@4meAndyou Maybe that is why cinnamon makes me sneeze so much. Lol
