Actually you don’t get to dictate to whom or for what I am thankful. One of the basic things I am always thankful for is not being the kind of sucker that falls for silly superstitions like religion.

[@495667,WalterF] you look at the immensity of the universe and think some grandad in a gown watches over it all and not a sparrow falls but he doesn’t take note. Please, religions all understate the case and simply say the sky friend is in charge. It’s just painfully stupid, embarrassingly so.

[@336854,redredred] This is your utter rubbish invention! Some grandad in a gown!! There we agree! Only a stupid embarrassing fool would believe that garbage! / The Christian religion is not understated. The cross is scarcely an understatement. It's the full works

That's just crazy talk. Religion is a cult.

[@495667,WalterF] Atheistic communism has killed well over 100 million people, far more than all the religious wars like the crusades and inquisition, which by the way were caused by Roman Catholicism, which is not true Biblical Christianity, but Babylonian paganism. The pope had the Bibles kept in Latin so the people couldn't read them and therefore what the pope said, went. Once the Bibles were translated and the people could read them, the wars came to an end.

[@1223841,AmedeusInvictus] Religions can cause wars and terrorism. (Islam is a religion.) Unless the people KNOW God (have a relationship with him). I'm on the same side as you, bro.

[@495667,WalterF] Yes, I agree. But pure religion does not.
