Goodbye August, Hello September….

@4meAndyou I didn’t rake my leaves one year till around Thanksgiving. It had been so warm that it was that late till they all fell off the trees. I raked up two snakes that were underneath the piles that had blown up around the back fence. Yikes, I try to get them raked up before they pile up that way.

@cherokeepatti How horrible! The maintenance men here use leaf blowers, but if the leaves are wet that doesn't work too well. SO glad I don't like in Oklahoma. I almost bought a house there in 2008 for $10,000.

@cherokeepatti That was 14 years ago, so I don't remember. It was a little house. An old lady had lived there, and let things go. I remember it was in an area where Tornadoes might strike...but that would be the whole state, right? 🤣🤣🤣

@cherokeepatti Nope. It was an older house, too, so I guess it was a "lucky" house.

@4meAndyou Zillow will carry it if it’s legit. I wonder if they just posted it to yank some strings and get people to use their site. Seems funny you found it for sale so long ago and it’s listed again. Was it the very same photo this time as last time?

@cherokeepatti This is not the same house I found 14 years ago. That one was like a doll house....very small and cute.

@4meAndyou I couldn’t find that one on Zillow but have seen some others from $10-25K….you have to make sure they haven’t been used for a meth lab, have asbestos needing removal, lead-based paint, get them tested for radon, etc.

@cherokeepatti I ran into radon when I bought a foreclosure in Lansing. LOTS of things can go wrong.
