Now I can’t have cake

The schedulers at the clinic messed up, so I thought I’d get an extra week to recover; which worked out because my nephew’s birthday is on Saturday. He’s having a Spider-Man theme, and invited me personally. Aw. “And, tita, you can have a piece of cake,” he promised me.

My appointment with the oncologist yesterday changed that. “It has to be done tomorrow,” he said.
“The schedule says the immunotherapy tomorrow, and chemo on the 9th,” I replied.
“No, we need to change that,” he dismissed as he started replanning treatments for the month.
“I haven’t done the bloodwork yet. It’s scheduled for Monday.” (You have to get it done before each round so they can make sure you’re just well enough to go through with it or something)
I really thought I was going to get away with that, but…
“You can do it today. We can do a one-time courtesy. We won’t charge you.” How kind.

Bummer. No tacos or cake for me. I won’t be able to handle it for about a week. 😤 (Fine then! Save my life! I’ll just be sitting here having no fun!!!)
I just love human error.
@LordShadowfire It’s great sometimes until someone catches it and thwarts plans. 😫
