Sounds like she and I would get along!!

My boyfriend in college and a good half of my friends were political science majors. My college house next door neighbor was one of those professors that had occasional dinner parties for students. He was one of the Poli-Sci profs, so I recall many a party like you're describing. 😆
I hope the kids are having a great party.

@Starcrossed they’re having a blast! They’re blasting middle eastern music and dancing
Bumbles · 51-55, M
They don’t have real fun, anymore. Not like we did. It hurts kids in the long run. There is enough time for maturity.

@Bumbles Putting the head under the sand won't spare us from getting hammered on the toenails by reality. We're back at my original statement: your generation (in average terms of course) could afford doing that without being effected too much directly or immediately, mine couldn't.

@Elessar I agree with you. I was able to buy my house before the market exploded and now everything costs so much there is no way young people can afford such things. I know my kids are going to be living with me forever.
Then there is everything else on top of the. There are so many things that need to be fixed that will take a global effort.

Okay, I have to chuckle at this. To me, 15 people is not a small party. That's an army to feed and beverage. As far as the convo though, since TV is vapid, and there aren't any new star wars movies; what else is there to talk about actually?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@come2gether yes we just ordered several party size pizzas and spent a shit load drinks and snacks yesterday We can order more food later if it’s not enough.

Judging from the banter I see on this site re: politics and global issues, I wouldn't exactly call those types of 'discussions' mature. 😏 Myself included.
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
What discussions did you have back then?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@scorpiolovedeep I don’t remember but they weren’t about politics or global issues

Clever way to hide playing Spin the Bottle

We do that at work or lunch ( gripe about politics) … parties are for fun and dancing, or at least the parties I will go to are. 😊
Sounds alot more intellectual than me and my mates at 27- honestly, probably now too 🤭

Is it wise when you are supposed to be celebrating to find what is always wrong is wrong?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
you raised her well enough not to hang out with the rabble
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I would prefer that so much more than the parties I went too. The people got so high or wasted that it’s why I didn’t go too many 😂.
