my roommate said when he moved here like 20 years ago it would sometimes snow for halloween. last winter it didn't snow at all

@meggie Same here in Northeast USA! But, it's actually not unusual...as long as the temperature stays above 55 at night and gets up to 70 during the day, they can keep going....
