Marching Forward

We're halfway through March in 2023, are you still committing to your New-year-new-me or is it just bullshit?

SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M Best Comment
I don't wait for a new year to improve myself.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Tachyeon Yay!!!
Ferric67 · M
@SinlessOnslaught that's what i always tell people, no need to wait for tomorrow to start improving moving forward.

[c=BF0080]Very pretty.. I didn’t make any resolutions. [/c]
I don't make resolutions... however, I am constantly changing and shifting every day.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@HootyTheNightOwl Making a list of resolutions alone can lead to a a false sense of achievement too. Acting on it along the way is a good way to go.
@Tachyeon It's not just false sense of achievement that can be a problem - unrealistic goals are another thing that can put people off even trying to achieve goals.

If I set out to lose 3 stones this year and I only managed to lose 1.5, does this mean that I failed... technically yes... but I still succeeded in losing half the target weight - which still makes a success out of the failure.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
True, there is definitely a middle ground in between deciding to make resolutions and just winging it. Personally i need a goal vague enough to satisfy myself with whatever happens as long as the results are positive.

BS! I was AWESOME last year and expect the same, for this one. Yeah, I'm just trying to hang onto my very modest self!!! 😊🌷

I don't make resolutions on New Year's. I keep track of where I'm at and where I want to be far more regularly, at least weekly.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@PhilDeep Keeping track is so important. We all need to take a step back once in a while.
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
You look absolutely beautiful and gorgeous. I never make New Years resolutions. Within the first few weeks of January, most resolutions are already broken.
Stopped doing resolutions a few years ago. Mostly try to pick up new habits. Ehh… it’s a work in progress.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@southerngent Slow and steady but still progressing, nothing wrong with that.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Nope, I’m about 470 days in.

Diet and exercise. My body looks half the age it did.
Bklynbadboy12 · 31-35, M
First off your gorgeous and I'm committed to being a better me
Oster1 · M
@eyeno Good man, you caught the joke! Happy Weekend! 🤗
MrGomco · 36-40, M
I bet this is the most beautiful woman in SW.
Changing is necessary, but waiting for the new year to do so is bullshit. It's a very gradual process.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@NerdyPotato Right, I do believe it's good enough that the start of a new year reminds people about changing, but holding it until a certain date is just procrastinating and almost defeats the purpose lol.
Confined · 56-60, M
No resolutions. Tweeking as I go, and trying not to screw up.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@Confined I like the honesty, just gotta face things as they come.
Pfuzylogic · M
I am still keeping mine with voluntary help for our budding community.
Londonn · 36-40, M
have we ever met in London?
Tachyeon · 26-30, F
@Londonn I don't know, did we?
Londonn · 36-40, M
