Halloween Traditions

Where I grew up years ago they would have 2 nights for trick or treating. Oct 30 Beggar's night and Oct 31 Halloween. Where I live not they only have Halloween.

So my question is do any areas still let the trick or treating go on on Beggar's Night? let me know or tell me I grew up in a weird place

Are you from the north east? We had beggars night also.

I thought there was a custom of door-to-door begging at Christmas in England.

Never heard of beggars night. Candy day is only on the 31st.
In UK we just do the one night

I have never heard of it.
My friend and I when we were around five or six years old once went around his neighborhood after Halloween asking if they had any leftovers.
Does that count?
