Halloween has always been my favorite holiday

When I was young, my dad used to take off work to go trick or treating with me. It was our holiday. But when I got married, he started dating a toxic woman and our relationship declined. I started to dislike the holiday because he changed. I invited him over to my house still because I felt like I should, but it was tense between us. He passed away 2 years ago. I try to enjoy it, but I don't feel it anymore.
