I'm flipping through similar world's because I really need a life and this is more exciting than my normal Friday night

I had cheddar smokies cooked over a fire with friends. Aside from that, my Friday was pretty chill.

I packed nearly all my shoes into a moving box.
At first, I put the shoes in their own shoe boxes (I save them). Then, I put the shoe boxes in a larger cardboard moving box. But I could only fit 4 shoe boxes inside the larger box. So I took the shoes out of their boxes and was able the squeeze about 10 pairs of shoes in the box!
I put one shoe in, then it's pair on top, upside down, yet rotated so its heel was on top of the other's toes. I alternated orientations and filled the bottom row. Then I filled the top row, yet flipped the shoes on their side to fit even better. Then I squeezed shoes in gaps. So now I have a big box snuffed with shoes!
I also put all my blankets in boxes. A waste of boxes, perhaps, since each boxe could only hold about 4 blankets. I then put 4 throw pillows in garbage bags.
This morning, I filled the empty shoe boxes with plates, bowls, and random kitchen stuff. I plan to drive them over (smoothy!) myself, in the floor of my car, to minimize jostling. Hence, I did not add packing peanuts (I do not have any, anyway). All my other boxes have soft fabricy stuff, or books and papers, so can be jostled.
I had saved a box which came with glasses and little cardboard dividers. So I refilled it with glasses. I had also saved a box that used to have a plate and bowl set, with specially-shaped cardboard plate dividers! I filled that box. Again, I plan to transport this all in my car.
Then I went to a clothes donation bin at a shopping center and stuffed it with two thick "sherpa" blankets I rarely use, a $13 pair of shoes I've never worn (it still has the tag on it!), and some clothes. These blankets are just too hot and heavy! I'd rather just turn up the heat and use a lighter blanket. Yet I saved two comforters for really cold nights - in their original bags (with handles!), of course.
Enjoy your show!
