When I was about 12 I was at the most spectacular back garden fireworks display you've ever seen… And the most dangerous. In those days fireworks were comparatively cheap and so we had piled up all the ones we brought to the party in one big cardboard box. A jumping jack was lit too close to the uncovered box and jumped to landed in said box. The whole lot went up in about two minutes with jumping jacks bangers and all sorts flying off in all directions. We were so frightened we didn't really enjoy it! I can still remember the silence afterwards from both the adults and the children. Clearly it was the adults fault, but I'm not sure I've really enjoyed home fireworks since.
