He had to bring up my spouse’s birthday tomorrow

Desmond actually remembered, that’s sweet of him. Even if he did steal me away from her, lol. Kidding. I left her because of problems her and I had long before Des and I started our relationship. Even though we don’t talk or see each other anymore and I’ve been living with him, I do still care about her. Desmond asked if I wanted to go see her tomorrow. I’m definitely not doing that, but I’ve already arranged to have a birthday cake delivered to her. Tres leches (her favorite) that reads “Feliz Cumpleaños Adelina” on it. Hopefully it gives her something to think about. In any case, to remind her that my leaving her isn’t because I don’t love her anymore, but because she needs to change and I can’t be with her until she does. At the very least, hopefully she’ll at least know that I still care.
