It’s my birthday and I haven’t really heard from anyone

Only like 5 people have said happy birthday to me and one of them I don’t even know. It’s now 6pm, haven’t heard from Mum or brother or any other family apart from 1 Aunty. Feeling a bit shit

My dear, speaking as someone whose birthday has been forgotten or neglected many times, I can tell you that the WORST thing you can do is sit at home waiting for the phone to ring.

You must swallow your pride and call your mother, at least. She has probably been off doing something all day and got too busy.
