@Musicman and my aunt was driving the minimum speed limit, she never drove fast, made the trip go that much longer. She was smoking a cigarette and my sister was sitting up front. The wind knocked a piece of the cigarette coal out and hit my sister’s arm so my aunt pulled over to see where it went, afraid that the car would catch on fire. In the chaos the dog, a chihuahua-terrier mix, jumped out with us to use the bathroom. We got back in the car and took off. About 3 miles later we keep hearing a semi-truck honking horn constantly. My uncle turned around to look and said he thought the driver was honking at us. So my aunt pulled over again and the truck driver pulled over. Exited the truck carrying our little dog, said he was trotting as fast as he could on the hot road trying to catch up with us as we took off. The good-hearted truck driver stopped and rescued him and decided to follow us and return him. Good thing my aunt was driving so slow, didn’t take him long to catch up with us.

@cherokeepatti What a beautiful story. I just stopped my cleaning lady from vacuuming and made her listen while I read it to her. Thank you for writing that for us.
@cherokeepatti Oh my gosh! God bless that truck driver. 🙏🙏🙏
