An Oakland A's baseball game in early 2022. Season ticket holder for 50 years, and couldn't take it any more. Never thought the day would come when I would say I preferred watching on TV than in person at the ballpark, but ownership had made the fan experience so unbearable -- not to say expensive -- in its desire to relocate, that day had come.
Nothing against the players or the baseball operations people in the front office. They continued to give there all and put an entertaining -- if not always competitive -- team on the field. But the fan experience no longer was there. Deliberately sabotaged by the billionaire owner.
Will be going to my first in-person, ballpark game since then come spring training, courtesy of my granddaughter!
