How was your Halloween weekend

not many trick-or-treatrers for us but some creative moms did a nice job with their kids. Saturday was the DWA masquerade ball. had a lovely evening even though I had to wear flats and couldn't dance. started with a nice cocktail hour, a few drinks and delicious hor dourves. dinner started with a great Carpaccio of beef filet, then either pan seared halibut or crusted filet mignon. couldn't resist the cherries jubilee over vanilla ice cream, the chocolate cream cake and tiramisu. a special thank you to all who attended and those who contributed. we raised over $300000 for the hospital charity care foundation which helps people in need pay medical bills . looking forward to next year when I can dance again

Wow, that's awesome. I've attended a ton of charity events but never a single event raising $300k. Congrats to you and THANK YOU for helping those people.

As for the menu, it sounds amazing. I'd have the halibut. 😝

As for my Halloween ... We live in a townhouse condo complex with a little over 50 units so we are a "desination" for mini-vans and SUVs full of kids. We dressed as witches and handed out TONS of candy. When that died down, we put the rest of what we had on a little folding table and then refreshed our green face paint and headed out to go dancing at a club we like. It was packed (way more than usual) which I don't like, but I just kept my face buried in my fiance's neck so I didn't get tempted to put anyone down. :)

it was cold, passed out candy---had more tricker treaters than usual which was cool. ended up with only 5 pieces to spare.
