Is a place too far a good excuse to not go to an event?

My friend invited me to a church event and she said it would mean a LOT to her if we came. The others can’t come but she asked me if I can go and she doesn’t wanna hear excuses since I’m on summer break. I told her I have summer class but I will have to see. She begged me to please just come. The place is like 30-40 minutes away from my house. And plus it’s gonna take me almost 2 hours to get over there. I don’t think she’s gonna buy that excuse. It’s gonna take me like probably an hour and a half to get there on the city bus. Plus where I live it’s gonna be pretty difficult since we live in a town. I checked and the first best will take me a whole hour and then when I take the second bus they don’t want take me 10 minutes. But I would have homework to work on anyway since I have a summer class. I have a morning class but still I don’t think I can go. My class is from 9am to 11:30am. The event starts at 5pm but I don’t know how long it will be. She is begging me to come. The other day I told her I would see but she kept saying “PLEASE!”.
I told her, “Well I’ll have to see because I don’t have anybody to take me and plus I have my class the next morning and there is no way I’m taking the bus there and back because it’s gonna take me almost 2 hours to get there.”
She quickly responded, “Ask your grandparents to take you or take an Uber/Lift. I really want you to come support me. NO EXCUSES.”
That’s gonna cost me a lot of money if I take Uber for like a 30 or 40 minute ride. I asked my grandparents but they said hell no it’s too far. They said if I can’t go but I can’t go and I need to save my money.
