I'm not familiar with this show - sounds like it's based on the Jane Austen book? Or characters adapted from??

@ElwoodBlues Yes, that’s right. It was her last book, unfinished, but it still managed to make an entertaining series.

@ElwoodBlues I am a Jane Austen fan. She worked on this book when she was very ill, and finally had to abandon it. The illness soon took her life.
According to what I have read from posts in a Facebook Jane Austen group I belong to, the fragment that Jane left us is portrayed in the first episode or two, and the rest of the series is a modern creation.
Before the series, a few authors published their "completions" of the book, attempting to stay true to Jane's style.
The fragment has tantalized Austen fans for two centuries.
I have read it, but I have not seen the series.

Wasn't me but I enjoyed it, a bit silly at times, but good story and Tom Parker was perfectly irresponsible..

@fun4us2b Kris Marshall played him wonderfully. I love Théo James, was sorry he was only there for the first season.

@bijouxbroussard Actually - I think most of the acting was pretty good in this one - and agreed James' role was kind of tough, having to flip-flop a few times - he was good in White Lotus also, if you saw that one...
