@SpudMuffin Irish are talked about yet those other neighbors do not seem fond of you either. Unlike Russia and Ukraine you have different languages. They speak Celtic language and you speak Germanic language. They have myths and legends and rugged countryside. I know this because Led Zeppelin sing about it in their songs. English Robert Plant is to this day fascinated by Welsh folklore. I have never seen Lord of the Rings or read the books but I know Led Zeppelin.

The Asians came along and messed with things. Lithuanian and Polish royalty then had power for some time. Russian royalty then again rose. Ivan III Vasilyevich got rid of Mongols and made Russia Russia again. Mongols run away like little boys. His grandson, Ivan Grozny, did great things during his rule. You call him Ivan the Terrible. Ukraine was part of Russia and Russian history always. Tsar Nikolai wanted to settle in Crimea, part of Russia, when he was looking to escape from Bolsheviks. But that was unrealistic. Why? Because it's part of Russia. That is what his royal relatives told him when they were thinking of how they could get him out. Yet he was resolved. He was not going to leave Russia. No matter what.

Some of the Bolsheviks were Ukrainian also. I don't think you understand.

War changes boundaries and is what created every nation. Russia is what Russia is now...nothing more. Forget thinking of your past, it is long gone, you are failed economic state, now dependent upon China for your survival. You have lost due to communism and then a corrupt dictator.
