Excess of green energy production. Especially in Europe. A solution?

Storage of water by pumping ocean water to higher elevation.
Three birds one stone.
1) rising oceans will be combatted by pumping water out and up to collection basins\resevoirs.
2) Add desalinated first using excess electricity generation to increase freshwater supply. The remaining Excess electricity can be stored for use when it is needed later by moving water to higher elevation or simply toward to north and south poles and then be ran through hydroelectric dams
3) raising the altitude\lattitude of the water would ultimately cool the water and reduce global warming too.
Its a win win win!

Storage had always been the problem... Pumped hydro is a good start though

@Convivial ty i think its the best solution i asume you mean water? "Pumped hydrogen" as in dihydrogen monoxide (H2O)?
Convivial · 26-30, F
@exchrist it's a good option if the local geography allows it... There are some very interesting battery types, large scale batteries that don't rely on exotic materials being played with in the background too

@Convivial yes there are many alternatives. . . Why is the modern world so stuck on toxic old world proposals? Ww2 politicains civil war era solutions. W. T. F.
