From which "experts" have you obtained this information? Recorded knife crime in the UK has been rising since a record low in 2020-21 (when people were unable to stab each other owing to not being able to go out), but for the latest year 2023-24 was still around 10% lower than pre-pandemic levels (Source: Office for National Statistics).

@DogMan Not quite as bad as that, but the Mirror does like sensationalist headlines.

The Mail is plain bonkers . . a bit difficult to explain if you're not from the UK. Our version is very different to the international website version that is popular in America.
