France is almost entirely nuclear and is doing fine. Germany went with wind and solar and suffered for it.

Turns out Germany did not suffer. France is very aggressive about renewable energy as well.

Don't know what news you're referring. New terminals were built in record time, to accommodate what the US and Qatar were shipping. Helped with a little luck (lower consumption due to a milder winter). Putin did not get to take advantage of his energy blackmail and Germany continued sending weapons to the Ukraine.
