To whom it may concern

I just finished my pilgrimage. I had three uncles KIA in World War Two. One in Italy… one in France… one in Italy. All long before I was before I was born. But my mom and dad were their brothers and sisters and I’m so glad I’ve had the privilege to see their graves. I hope in 50 years someone still remembers. Thanks to the CWG Commission for taking care for them.

Sad. It was a bad unnecessary war. Lives were lost for no reason like trees burned in a wildfire.

Unnecessary in what way?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Noworries72 In the same way as that of the war in Ukraine now.

@sree251 Watch movies to enjoy the drama and/or humour. Don't watch to learn history.
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
I’m not watching history:. This is my family. I know it’s a while ago, but that doesn’t mean we write about it at all. I wasn’t making commentary on history..: I was just saying that three country boys didn’t make it home to my mom and dad… I heard about it first hand. What about this is controversial . @MarkPaul

@Noworries72 Note who my second message was TO. It wasn't to you. It was to the guy who seemed to be claiming the war was "unnecessary" based on a movie he watched.
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
I’m sorry. I wasn’t pointing fingers in anyone’s direction really. But agreed… war movies are not a substitute history.@MarkPaul

You’re going to have to provide some evidence to explain the similarities between WWII and the Ukraine War. And how the fight against nazism was unnecessary. @sree251
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Noworries72 The similarity that runs through every instance of human conflict is one side squabbling against another. It is always about good against evil.
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
Yes… i suppose you’re right on that level. But resisting tyranny isn’t a ‘squabble’. We’ll have to disagree there. The ‘war, what is it good for’ is a plesahr mantra and the idea that we can’t agree without shedding blood is ridiculous on its face…. But this is the world and we live in it. No harm, no foul, my friend.@sree251
@sree251 Unnecessary? Yes we should've just handed our country to Hitler! 🙄
sree251 · 41-45, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic It wasn't Hitler who wanted to fight you. Russia doesn't want to fight you now either. Does China want to fight the USA? The Pacific is a vast ocean. There is no Chinese military presence offshore US west coast but China is surrounded by US military bases in the East and South China seas.

We live for war.
@sree251 Are you round and round we go's alt account? 🤨
