It would be Prudent for Europe to become less reliant on the U.S. and move away from using the U.S. Dollar

as the mechanism used for trading and paying for commodities.
In addition to this re-establish new and stronger ties and co-operative relations with Russia (OIL and GAS) and China for TRADE.
Signing a new and long-term agreeable commerce and industry friendships and unifying the entire continental landmass with infrastructure prepare for future growth in the entire giant landmass of Eurasia, Middle East, Africa.
The entire landmass could thus become a very large infrastructure of rail, shipping, trade, commerce, industry.

We have many right-wing authoritarians in Europe who wish to side with the Russian and Chinese tyrants – because it would be so convenient. We would just have to give up our freedom and look away when they commit their next genocide.
The entire landmass could thus become a very large infrastructure of...
...rape, torture, re-education camps and cheap Russian gas.

@helenS sadly, Europe already does overlook ethnic cleansing and genocide. Artsakhtsi Armenians are in danger of genocide by Azerbaijan according to Genocide Watch, yet Europe needs Azerbaijani oil.

@basilfawlty89 Yes that's true. Azerbaijan (and Katar) is not a threat, as opposed to Russia.

@helenS Azerbaijan is backed by Turkey due to the ideology of Pan-Turkism. That is a threat. Look at what's been done to Kurds in Turkey and Syria by Erdogan. Erdogan has ambitions of reviving the Ottoman Empire.
This is a threat to many people, including Greeks and Cypriot Greeks in Europe.

@basilfawlty89 Turkey is not simply Erdoganistan – chances are our Turkish friends will get rid of him soon.

@helenS lolno. You are an intelligent person, Helen, but you are not aware of Turkey's history if you think that. Look at the history of pogroms against Armenians, Greeks and Jews from Atatürk to now. Kurds are being murdered as we speak.

@helenS They will find it difficult, I’m afraid.

@MartinII I really admire how the UK is determined to keep supporting Ukraine.
