Alternative European map. [I Am European]

I found it online. In general, I agree more than disagree with it.

Things I would change:
- Spain and Portugal should join.
- Bavaria and Austria should be together too.
- Belgium should be split between France and the Netherlands.
- Italy is too divided

Things I really like:
- Ireland and UK together.
- Ukraine split between Russia and Poland+Lithuania
- Albania absorbed by the former Yugoslavia.
- The partition of Germany
- Istambul is Greek again 👍

Very interesting map. The Irish certainly would not like to be back in the UK again.

You forgot to mention that Austria-Hungary was reunited but without Bosnia or the Banat.

France would be the big winner geopolitically. Its old allies Bavaria and, far more important, Poland-Lithuania are back and Germany is partioned.

@Cierzo The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was a great power in the 16th and 17th centuries. It got partioned in the second half of the 18th century by its neighbours Russia, Austria and Prussia. This happened partyl because of the decline of France, its old ally, which could not protect it anymore. That Poland-Lithuania disappeared from the map of Europe in the 1790s just when France was absorbed the French Revolution is no accident at all.

Poland is by geography between German and Russia and has thus always looked for allies in the West. Historically, France, after its re-appearance in 1918, France and Britain and after 1989, the U.S.

@Cierzo One can dream about Constantinople. There was a chance after WWI but the Greeks lost the war against Turkey.

@Cierzo That will only happen after the U.S. has collapsed. France is too weak to defend Poland against Germany or Russia.
