I Live In Europe

Berlin yesterday.

Giving thanks for being defeated in a war and having your country destroyed? Can any country become more humiliated and deprived of personality than Germany is now?

Most Germans are completely brainwashed. Even saying "Germany belongs to the Germans" is seen as a hate crime by many Germans.

It is one thing to denounce Hitler and the Nazis. It is something different to be so guilt ridden that you want to abolish your country and hand it over to strangers.

@Mugin16 You nailed it in the second paragraph.

@Cierzo Not taking any sides here but encourage all to read as much as you can, books or online. To quote Sabbath "Politicians hide themselves away, they always started the war...".

By way, I visit(ed) friends in FDR whose parents were of the age when Hitler +co took over. Happy to chat to anyone by PM, rather than clog up here!

@Mugin16 Very Sad. The victors tell there version of the truth. Stalin killed more people than Hitler ever dreamed of. Der STATSI was worse than the SD by far.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@Feuerstern Stalin certainly killed more people than Hitler and the countries, which the Red Army liberated from the Nazis, were turned into Communist dictatorships. Then again the inhabitants of these countries - Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and so on - are not the ones who hate themselves and they are not in the process of becoming minorities in their own countries.

@Feuerstern And Mao more than any of them. Also, the Japanese committed atrocities in Asia as horrendous as those of the Nazis in Europe.

Those 'rankings' of criminals are certainly made by the winners, and often considering some victims more worthy than others.

@Mugin16 Yes Indeed. Very sad. I know what some of my old family member had to go through.

@Cierzo Yes I know very infuriating. Meanwhile everyone sure likes our cars and our technology. Hmmm how did we get to the moon again. oh Ja! Wernher von Braun, how could I be so silly.
