No. I do not discount the possibility of life of one sort ot another elsewhere even in our won galaxy, let alone the universe, but that is as far as I go.

Good question. Every time they launch a better telescope the universe doubles or triples in size. Are there an infinite number of stars? If not, where does it end? In the vastness of the universe, can we be the only intelligent hunks of matter in the universe? If so, what a responsibility.

@Heartlander We cannot really know if the universe has a physical boundary of any sort, simply by the speed-of-light horizon and the faintness of distant objects anyway.
