@Ynotisay the good thing is not much of that is going on here regardless of political bent. People are bending over backwards for each other. Businesses are offering their help. People don't realize LA County is 10 million people. Not everyone is in "the business". People are very down to earth here. It's very mixed culturally. Everyone hurts right now.

Fellow Angelino here, Jon. I couldn’t agree more. I had to stop looking at political news and block people here because it made me so angry. Stay safe!
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@Bumbles Ive been blocking a lot too. This city is incredible. I don't want to hear what they think.

I don't need to be an astronaut to know there are rocks on the surface of the moon. Craters, too.
Besides, Los Angeles isn't the only major city in the nation that has had a fire destroying a good sized part of it from wind-fanned flames after a period of drought.

Nor is Los Angeles the only city in the country with questional decisions having been made by elected officials.
Anyone who cares about our country doesn't want to see ignorance and incompetence cause the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people.
Whether that be in Los Angeles or New Orleans or elsewhere.
The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department are woefully understaffed and underfunded for a city of that size in both population and square miles.

I hate that certain...specimens, for lack of a better term, are claiming that it's just "rich elites". There are many vulnerable people who are poor and/or working class that have suffered.
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@basilfawlty89exactly. Businesses were destroyed too.
robingoodfellow · M
I'm sorry you have to deal with all the political BS when the tragedy itself is already overwhelming.
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@robingoodfellow I can't belief how many people I know are now homeless or their elderly parents/family are.
robingoodfellow · M
@JonLosAngeles66 looking at the destruction on tv my mind was running to the same thing, how many people are homeless already and it's not even finished? Last thing the people of LA need is a political fight in the middle of one of the worst disasters we've ever seen here.
I hope you and your family are ok.

@robingoodfellow I'm good thanks!

Some of them need a reason to blame California.
Apparently if there weren’t so many progressives here, there wouldn’t be wildfires or earthquakes.
Nobody would ever blame hurricanes, tornadoes or floods down South on the surplus number of conservatives ! 🤨
