Please say a prayer for us in Florida. No matter where you live, hurricanes are scary because they are so unpredictable. Hurricane season for us runs June through November.

You saw what Helene did. Please pray for the city of landfall.

God bless and protect you and everyone in the path. Hopefully everyone in low lying danger has packed their bags and is heading for high grounds. The storm surge may be severe and for many on the coastal islands there may be no escape later.

@Heartlander a lot of the west coast cities have left. the roads are blocked and they are having problems finding a place to stay

@akindheart college campuses, military installations, airports, schools all have big open spaces for accommodating people in an emergency, and all have bathroom and food service abilities. FEMA should have cots, blankets, MREs, etc. to accommodate millions.

I still can't believe that when Katrina hit the NO area, Texas was better prepared to accommodate Louisiana evacuees than the state of Louisiana itself was. I still cant believe that to bus thousands from New Orleans to Houston, those busses had to drive past 5 Louisiana universities, and no less than 25 public schools, and 4 or 5 military installations..

@Heartlander I rmember people leaving dead bodies on the sidewalk with a blanket over them. i think they housed them in the stadium right?
