You can shift the car like a manual transmission with them.

@Sojournersoul I’m gonna try it on purpose and see what happens 🤣

@MellyMel22 The plus one when you are taking off. Lol

@Sojournersoul It felt like it was jerking back so I pressed like 3xs and didn’t know what I did, but was driving so I got nervous 🤣
Sojournersoul · M
@MellyMel22 You were in the wrong gear for your speed. Lol.

@Sojournersoul I tried it going up a hill and I can confirm it was still screwy. I mean how many drives does an auto car need 🤣

@MellyMel22 if it's an 8 speed automatic 8, 6 speed automatic 6. Having an actual manual in 1 vehicle and an automatic with manual mode in the other I can say switching to sport mode is generally more beneficial than going manual mode unless you're trying to use engine braking

@Justafantasy Im not sure if I have the paddles on my vehicle, but I do have the sport and use it much easier from the shifter 😅 I don’t see me using the paddles unless my shifter somehow broke and I had no choice.

@MellyMel22 mine has 9 gears and i love shifting them myself. Have to listen to the engine and look at the RPMs to know when to shift. Love to be in the passengers seat.

@MellyMel22 if you understand what's happening and enjoy driving it can be more engaging, the only place I'd say it makes a significant difference otherwise would be going down hills so you don't use your brakes as much and sport mode usually holds the transmission more anyways

@Justafantasy I notice a difference between drive and sport. I only use it on roads that wind. But it’s simple to change from the shifter.

@Sojournersoul I've always found them useless.
