Anyone know what these -/+ things do?

I accidentally hit one and the car felt a bit off. It’s my mom’s car and she’ll have a fit if I did something 😅 Help 🤣

Paddle shifter

@forestG What does it do?

@MellyMel22 Shift the tranmission via the steering wheel so you don't have to take your hands off it. My Jeep had them.

@forestG I just looked it up, but do I need to reset it? Or it does after I manually shift it?

@forestG Thank you so much!
@MellyMel22 Put the car in park and then drive again. It will go back to automatic.
@forestG No, tell her it shifts the aiming of the paddling she'll get! lol

@SinlessOnslaught You can’t do that on the highway I was on in rush hour traffic 🤣
@MellyMel22 Lol as long as you're not currently driving out of gear, you should be fine.

@SinlessOnslaught Streets are dangerous by me.
@MellyMel22 Why is that?

@MellyMel22 You can also use the regular shift knob to get it back to automatic. If using the paddles already, use the handle between the seats. Go from D to the manual mode then back to D
@forestG Daym okay

@forestG Im avoiding it for now on, I tried it on purpose and it still seemed wacky. Maybe it’s just the car. Thank you for your help 😁
