At the rate the world is changing will there be anyone left in fifty years?

It just seems to be falling apart. No way can there be 10 billion of us in 2070. No food, water, or habitable land in India or Africa. Southern US is going to be empty.

I was never a "doomsayer", but today's world really does frighten me. Of course its so much more than climate change I fear. 😞
Very insightful. I have a hard time understanding why the bulk of humanity isn't seeing this as clearly as you do.
Things are changing at an exponential pace. Beginning with the industrial revolution mankind built the proverbial house on a crooked foundation. And the house is falling down.
It is going to be a very different world, it seems.

It's not implausible that Generation Beta could be the last generation

@SW-User probably not the last but definitely the last to see population increasing like it has been. It's going to crash soon.

@Tastyfrzz Good.

@LordShadowfire Good for the planet maybe but for human history it will be like the time of the black plague. To have over thirty percent of the population of the planet wiped out will be very disruptive. The ripple effects will go on for many years. Hopefully I won't live to see it.

I know this goes against every concept of freedom, but I feel like there needs to be a basic intelligence test before people are allowed to reproduce.
