Are we ruining the Earth because we need more and more places to live? [I Am Concerned About Climate Change]

We cannot keep clearing forests! How will new oxygen be received into the air? We need the trees to help the oceans, the grasslands, ever diminishing, to produce oxygen for all the fauna of the Earth 馃寧 to breathe! We cannot steal all the room on land and push the animals to their extinction! We must find a way to contain how we fill the Earth to safeguard the wonder of the Creation!

Let me guess you live in the city and you listen to the Sierra Club and their doomsday predictions. The earth is healthier now than it has been for centuries.
@hippyjoe1955 oh really? How did you estimate that the earth is now healthier than it has been for centuries? I am not saying you are wrong, I want to know how did you come to this conclusion?

@aaaabbbb Even the deserts are greening. The Sahara desert is getting smaller. Humans are planting more trees. Everywhere you turn there is more and more wildlife coming to terms living with humanity. When I was a kid we were too far south to ever see a moose. They lived in the north. Every summer we would drive north but we never saw a moose. In fact the first wild moose I saw was in the city. I was talking to the neighbor who bought our old farm and he says there is a moose living on the farm. I live in the city and we have all kinds of wild life here now. Lynx, Bear, Coyotes, Deer, Hares, and every kind of bird imaginable. Even the antelope are moving back into their old ranges.
@hippyjoe1955 Have you read the number of air planes fly in one given moment? The amount of gasoline burned in our skies, number of industries now around the world buying different fosil fuel, number ships buring burning fosil fuel, number trees been cut down in every part of the world, wester world did first for farming and now developing countries are doing it, just look at the size of Amazon forest and compare it with past 50 yrs of progress. Do you know how tons of plastic waste is now dumped in the ocean? Millions of tons, not something done before.

Yes, humans were buring wood or coal for ever to cook and keep warm. However, our population has quadrupled in centuries, so has the rate of natural resources extraction, consumption. Do you know how many tree are cut every year for lumber and the trees which have been cut already for farm land in every part of the world?

Sir, with all due respect, I highly doubt the earth is greener or cleaner than the centuries. Few things you have mentioned are NOT the true evidence of earth being in a better shape now than the past 2 or 3 centuries.

@hippyjoe1955 The reason these wild animals are in our cities is because humans are driving them out of their habitats

@aaaabbbb And you have no idea how big the globe really is and how the fuel burned is plant food when it is burned. You are too much into the doom and gloom. You need to get out of the city more often.
@Nayla The WWF says Humanity has wiped out 60% of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles since 1970, leading the world鈥檚 foremost experts to warn that the annihilation of wildlife is now an emergency that threatens civilization.
@hippyjoe1955 thank you. I am not sure how much have traveled around the world. How many countries? I have lived in 3 continents and 5 countries around the world, have traveled to 4 continents and close 20 countries around the world, have been to over 30 states. I think I know how big the globe is.

Let's see where have you been to?
@aaaabbbb He hasn't been out of Alberta where Moose come into the city.
@Pitchblue Moose drive trucks in Alberta. Ford 150s
