I Am Concerned About Climate Change

I read an article this morning in The New Yorker that suggests that, while it’s still theoretically possible to avert climate change apocalypse, the emphasis is on theoretically. It would basically require all the doubters to immediately have an epiphany and pressure their governments to implement draconian conservation measures, completely unrealistic. So we just need to accept that if you’re younger than 60 there’s a good chance you will see the climate rise 2 degrees Celsius and, because natural disasters will be so commonplace and out of control, civilization as we know it will cease to exist, and if you’re younger than 30 that outcome is all but certain in your lifetime.

So I’m just wondering what all the climate change deniers and their heirs will say then. I mean I guess it will still somehow be progressives’ fault?

The next wave of rhetoric will be that we can't change it and that it is actually good to have a warmer earth. Republicans are already starting to say it.

@windinhishair Well of course it’s not man-made.

@JP1119 Climate has always changed. The Earth was once a fireball. So anything is therefore acceptable.
