I Think Global Climate Change Must Be Stopped

I am really frightened about the non-believers. Even if they don't believe the main cause is human activity, why can't they at least believe the evidence that Climate Change is real and we are bordering on the point of no return. When the far right claim that the evidence is all made up leftist propaganda, how do we fight it off?

The mad man Russ Limbaugh facing the incoming Hurricane Florence, is denying Climate Change and using his own experiences in hurricanes as proof that the hype is all an attempt to strength=then the resolve to fight Climate Change. See his column and read it, and react!

I am a engineer. Have refined mathematical weather models and I do not see "the trend", thus what is there to do? Worry?

@questionWeaver I would love to see your model. Every other major weather expert, all of the science, evidence in nature as in tree rings, you name it, all point towards global climate change. I am happy for you that you have convinced yourself that you see no trend. That is not the findings of every major scientific organization world wide.
I limited my evaluation to my skills, which are considerable.

The weather models were NOAA

I moved them onto super computers and helped refine the finite element analysis.

No, not Every

And even if the planet is warming, there is nothing little ole man can do about it.

Go back and research the climate models the founder of the weather channel did. He said global warming is the biggest fraud to ever hit our society.@samueltyler2

@Hikingguy I have researched the issue, I sit on local and federal
Advisory councils and committees. Anyone who doubts climate change is either smoking something weird or is stuck in the flat earth era. Whether man is responsible for 90 percent or 10 percent is or irellevent. There is no doubt man has contributed some and can stop this.
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
I agree. It is changing. And will always change. Not arguing with you here. But it is still debatable how much man contributes. Regardless, the temp will rise. With us or without.@samueltyler2

@questionWeaver please show us your model! The scientific models and evidence is readily found. Do you disagree with NOAA saying that ocean surface water temperature is up 1 degree centigrade over the past 30 years? Do you disagree that surface ocean temperature is related to severity of tropical storms?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Hikingguy does the percentagebreally matter, or as the only species which can alter the trend, doesn't mankind owe it to the flora and fauna to do whatever is possible to, at least, stop the progression?
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
Try telling that to Asian countries who have no intentions of cleaning up their atmospheres.even Mexico City is filthy with pollution. You can kick and scream about global climate change all we want, but until everybody is on board, the temperature will still rise. And even if every country DOES clean up it’s act, the temps will STILL RISE. Just look at what they are discovering in the artic. Trying to drill below the ice finding tree stumps from ancient forests. It’s going to happen brother. We just need to adapt.@samueltyler2
@samueltyler2

That is a romantic novel.

"Mankind can"

No, mankind can not change the energy content of the earth.

That C02 or ozone or carbon particulate makes the world hotter is nonsense. Complete mathematical and physical nonsense.

I really hope you are not advocating high co2 electric cars?

Here is our chart ...

Trump got us out of the climate accord and our reduction of co2 soared.

We now LEAD everybody in co2 reduction. Only a few EU countries are even close to the goal they signed up for.

We met and exceeded VOLUNTARILY ... because we have stopped stupid EPA regulations.

This climate change stuff is just political nonsense.
Recluse · 46-50, M
@questionWeaver China didn't even make the chart huh. Lol wtf
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@questionWeaver the fact that the regulations may have changed has had no effect n the green house gas emissions. the changes in power plants, etc., has been underway not for years. The TVA has essentially abandoned the use of coal, both for environmental and economic reasons. The auto fleet has been changing and resulted in decreases in the emission. fortunately, the roll back of EPA regulations is not yet effective, as for automobiles, the change doesn't occur until 2020. After that the difference in the release of CO2 changes between the projection under the old rues and the new. The savings is in dollars, but not adjusted for illness mitigation by breathing cleaner air and drinking cleaner water. Here are three slides from the EPA itself, it shows the change in the vehicles sold, the changes in the CO2 released under the newer regulations, and the calculated savings from the changes.

Do you really not want to try to affect the environment and make it better. If the other countries have not yet met there goals, is that reason for the US to reverse its leadership in these efforts?
