Plasticised paper, or anything coated with metal, is not.
Envelopes with windows seem recoverable but polythene wrappings seem not to be.
Co-called "compostable" wrappings and other material are only that if composted in special industrial plant, not a domestic garden compost bin.
The mail itself, printed on paper, is recyclable.
