Are all you tube videos subjected to this requirement now?
If so, I will no longer be posting you tube videos because more people are not registered on you tube and most people will not sign in to view videos?

When I try to view music videos I posted on here, some display the Sign in message while some do not.

I've never seen that ever, can you paste a link to an SW post where this happens, with that specific anti-bot rationale?

when I post a YT video that cannot be viewed as an embed here, it's usually because A) it's deemed mature content so YT wants people to sign in to prove they're old enough to see it (e.g., they don't want kids to see Russians getting snuffed by Ukrainian drones and such) or B) some crappy record company (or similar) decided they didn't want people in arbitrary countries to be able to see specific content, which is the dumbest concept ... and when I realize it's not visible, I start looking for alternative videos, including on sites other than YT, or I just download the YT video and upload 1 minute of it to SW directly (e.g., Formula One does not want its videos embedded on other sites)

Vimeo is a good alternative to YT for finding alternative clips to post on SW, but Dailymotion is less so because you cannot disable autoplay on Dailymotion embeds (hence me resorting to just download the YT video I wanted to embed in the first place as a workaround)

@ThirstenHowl No, it happened to me when I wanted to view a video posted by someone here.
I found the post, but that restriction is no longer on the video.

@Gusman I saw his reply, but without me being able to experience it directly, I can't relate and his reply really doesn't tell me much

theoretically I would be targeted by this too, because I use an adblocker and I use a semi-exotic OS (but almost never a VPN), and I sometimes have random websites give me a CAPTCHA to prove I'm not a bot (and sometimes it pisses me off enough to email them about it), which I assume woudln't happen if I was using a Windows computer

@ThirstenHowl If they they know who you are (recognize your device id), there's no need to sign in. They just want to know who is viewing at this point.

All I can say is that the sign in message was displayed as I wrote in my post.

I tried two of my own posted music videos and they also displayed the sign in notice.
Not happening now though 🤷🏻
