Could you do what you do best in front of a crowd?

That’s how I got through Public Speaking and an Acting course.

@rinkydinkydoink I honestly was nervous and that’s why I chose to do things I’m comfortable with. For a public speaking presentation I chose to prepare food, and I also brought the cooked version of it to pass around and distract everyone from looking at me so much 😬😂 For an impromptu acting thing, I pretended to do nails.
@MellyMel22

You are a good writer, too. A little practical prep seems to have made your experiences less stressful

Your retelling reminded me of Marlon Brando's inborn ability to assess what needed to be done and what not to do to be believable - - - -

- - - There is a famous anecdote about Marlon Brando in acting class with Stella Adler where he acted like a chicken. While other students panicked about a simulated nuclear bomb, Brando remained still, and when asked why, he said, "I'm a chicken—what do I know about bombs?".

@rinkydinkydoink Thank you. Oh wow, I haven’t heard of that before now.

Probably.

I'm just not sure that a crowd would want to watch a melodic farter.

Mind you, the youth of today and their newfangled 'pop music' etc etc etc....
@Thodsis

Hey - you must've known about the 19th century farting novelty act at the Moulin Rouge.

@rinkydinkydoink I read about him when I was a child. (My dad had a good book collection.)

And I've just learnt the word 'flatulist' from Wikipedia. :)

🤔 what i do best is avoid crowds. so it could get tricky.
@dirge

I have every faith you'd make it interesting :D

Course and have
At one point I played the piano very well, and I did that in front of auditoriums of people.
@bijouxbroussard

I would have liked to have been in any one of the audiences. Maybe all :D
ariannasly · 26-30, F
Hmm I can't say for sure until I actually do it.
@ariannasly

That's the spirit!
