What was the worst live performance you’ve ever witnessed in person?

Top | New | Old
Peter Serkin playing some piano concerto in San Francisco. He was never even remotely as talented as his father (Rudolf).

Herman's Hermits in St. Louis in 1965.

@hunkalove Was it their performance or limitations in terms of gear? I’ve seen a lot of clips from that era where you can hardly hear the band due the fans screaming louder than the band can play.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
@BamPow They were chosen for their cuteness, not their talent. Kinda like the Monkees. Their records were studio musicians and Herman. The lead guitarist couldn't really play. I don't recall any screaming.

1976 BJ Thomas was drunk and walked off the stage. 1992 Shane MacGowan was drunk and walked off the stage.

@Fukfacewillie That would piss me off to the point that I’d never listen to them again. I’ve seen a ton of shows. Some were bad, but nobody ever just walked off stage and quit mid show like that. However, I wouldn’t have been disappointed had Perry Farrell walked off stage when I saw Jane’s Addiction several years ago. They would have been better without a singer that night.

@BamPow Yeah, BJ threw the Mike down! Shame what happened to Perry Farrell. He is mentally ill no doubt. Jane’s Addiction was so good.

Sheryl Crow 🥱
Boring AF and had zero stage presence.
BamPow · 51-55, M
@DearAmbellina2113 I saw her years ago as an opener and had the same experience.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@BamPow I'm shocked she made it as far as she did
BamPow · 51-55, M
@DearAmbellina2113 She was an MTV darling back when that mattered.
