Clearing the plate

Did you get wrong of your mam for licking clean your plate when eating at a relatives or in a cafe.

I remeber being around 8 and was at a family friends house. When the Woman came out with a homemade raisin pie I said to their young son, Oh Man How can You eat that? The room went silent. I was aware I had made a mistake and was expecting a punishment when we got in the car. But unexpectedly as we drove away from the house everyone in the car laughed out loud.
