Greg Gutfeld once said "My theory on incest is laziness. They look at their cousin and they go Ehh, that'll do." Does this sound about right?

I'm not sure how unique his observation was, but I do like it.

For 95% of its history, humanity existed as small, roving family bands; cousins were about the only mating choice. When bands met up, girls were probably exchanged to mix it up but we’re all descended from centuries of cousin marriages.

Explains a lot.
