As a side question - if you go home solar why do you have to get lithium batteries for it? Why not what telephone exchanges use ie. deep-cycle low-volt lead-acid batteries in a big array? 8-) Why not *totally* disconnect from the energy grid and charge you green energy chariot from nothing except the sun? Because for most people it's not practical and the CO2 embodiment with solar and batteries is immense (just like with an EV).
