What Would You Do If Two Young Men Knocked On Your Door & Told You They Had A Way To Save You Money On Your Electric Bill But Weren’t Selling Anything

I didn’t even open the glass storm door. When they said they weren’t selling anything it was a red flag. Like the scam callers who offer to refinance your credit cards for zero percent interest rates 😂. I told them I wasn’t interested and they kept talking. Told them to leave and closed the door. At that point I wouldn’t have trusted them to let them enter my home. No telling what they were up to. I hate to be rude but can’t trust everyone and I was home alone.

I got a visit from one of the neighbourhood kids, the other day. Who claimed they knew a way I could reduce my power bill. Apparently I had left one of my back porch lights on all night.

@Thevy29 well that might be different. These guys were under 30 years of age. I haven’t seen them around here and I don’t leave my porch lights on all night, it is an automatic one that comes on when someone steps up in the entry.

@cherokeepatti You should never let strangers into your house... If you recall I mentioned in a post last week about two Nuns who came to my door to talk about Jesus and I rudely told them to go away. I didn't follow up with that story as a family member had left their car parked in my driveway and when they came to get it. Discovered the Nuns had rammed 'God' pamphlets under the door of the boot. Scratching the paint off.
The family member was all set to send the Church of these Nuns the bill for the damage except the Mechanic had fixed it for free. He said "It's not every day a person gets vandalised Nuns." 😅
