@nedkelly This house is rather small and I’ve been doing my best to conserve for the past few months since they started raising the rates. Kept it warmer than we used to. Used the oven to bake some foods to take the chill out of the house when it got down to the mid-60’s. Haven’t had to turn on the heat yet, but that’ll probably change soon. Here comes a big gas bill if we don’t try to watch it.

I live in Southern California and mine was $700-$900 during the summer and I’m gone most of the day from 6am up till 5-6pm. The only day I would run the AC the majority of the day was Sundays. I live alone as well or at least I had been up till October . I turn on my heating fan during the winter out those take up a good amount of power as well.

That's really great! 11 Years ago I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment, and my electric bill was $90!!! I kept thinking the apartment upstairs was hitchhiking on my meter, but could never prove it.

@jshm2 I have a convection bowl cooker and also bought a small portable oven that bakes, broils, and can be used for convection cooking as well…it was on clearance for $30 at Walmart and have used it several times already to make muffins and a banana cake.

@Stereoguy that’s not bad at all for Florida and especially considering it’s humid there.
