Where can I work and make enough money to survive...

when I have no childcare except on weekends?

Trying to think of jobs I could take my son with me...

Or make enough money on the weekends...

I live in a bougie boomer tourist town so it's either retail, food, or medical.

I'm not great with people. The older I get the less I can tolerate. Especially here, people are so snobby and hateful. Mean.

I don't have the equipment to work from home. Can't afford it. Just have a very out dated laptop.

I don't know what to do here anymore. I'm tired of nasty tourists and rude rich boomers. I'm burnt out.

I have a degree in agriculture, which is useless here. Farmland is now developments.

WTF...

Gardening , groundskeeping? Assisting older people, like personal helper?
Maybe a caregiver? That pays pretty well
Are you any good at making things?

Art & craft etc?

@QuietReverie I am, but I've been that route and it doesn't sell.

What were you thinking?
@EldritchFox

Depends, You could make jewellery, paintings, drawings, flowers, bouquets, wedding accessories.

Dried flowers.

Sell it to shops, arty places or have a stall on a market, etsy shop.

You are so creative and with your love for nature I'm thinking a homebased arts and crafts home decor thing... simple things that are seasonal and sell. Decorations for the many different holiday seasons.

@Ontheroad I don't know how I would even afford supplies to get started.

I have tried selling my creations but tbh there's a million other people out there doing the same thing and better than I can.

@EldritchFox you are right, it isn't inexpensive when you start, but if you think small and simple which many home holiday decorations are, you could build on it as you sell. That's how many do start... at the kitchen table, so to speak.

Home healthcare provider. Lots of older folks need someone to check in on them, clean, cook a few meals. If ulyou ask $40 an hour you'll be cheaper than most services.

Just thinking here, newspaper route comes to mind but that puts a lot of wear on a vehicle and when I did it I was a teenager and when it came time to collect the money, nobody paid me anything. But it was also low pay I don't know what the pay would be nowadays.

But I worked at Walmart for 5 years and really depends on what you do there, and don't deal with too many people unless they're asking you where something might be in the store. That's all I can think of at the moment.

A plant nursery, or a lumber store in the garden area, peoples gardens, old folks homes helping them plant gardens? Nursing homes you could probably take your son with you and he could learn what you do. Hope this helps
