Before the internet you could say very dumb shit and only a few people ever had to hear it. Now anyone can say dumb shit to thousands of people. You can just say anything that you want about anyone, with no evidence, and get away with it most of the time because nobody will call you out unless what you say hits the mainstream media and you get sued. You can reach thousands of people with lies and face no consequences.
Freedom of speech though, right? Truth cannot get in the way of freedom to be stupid.
