It's a bad scene. That's a true story. Happened about four years ago. The upside is that Biden pushed for, and signed, the Inflation Reduction Act. At the very least it caps insulin costs at 35 bucks a month for those on Medicare. Wouldn't have helped that kid though. Which is why the legislation included similar steps for everyone in need of insulin.

What makes this even more fucked up. Thousands if not millions of Americans travel to Canada because the US has up to a 900% mark up on insulin. And that is without the extortionist insurance.
