I wrote a paper once for an upper level Mayan art history class. The teacher was brutal but really liked my term paper which ran about 10 pages long. He said to cut in down to 7 and he would get it published in an art history journal.
Took me forever.
But i did it.
Submitted it.
Never found out whether it got published or not. Moved out of town before I heard back.

@JohnnyBliss it's absurd these rules. Like I need those paragraphs to get my point across okay?? It contains vital information! And cutting down on words usually means making short, abrupt, dry sentences which squeezes the life out of the article. I'm a human not a robot!!! If you read scientific articles from the 20th century they are a lot more flexible, have hand drawn material too, and photographs, and even some comedy, or snarky bi.tchy comments on rival studies. It's so much fun to read. Like sis get me a cup of tea I need to know the whole drama! 🤭
