What would you do with such a huge hospital debt?

I owe a Palm Springs hospital many thousands and insurance isn't covering the bulk of it. What would you do? I'm literally drowning in debt right now.

You're +70 years old, and you have to worry about your medical expenses at this age? What is wrong with this world? Or TBH, what is wrong with the U.S., to be exact? This makes me sick. I am sorry about your situation. :/
@LookingForTheSummer I sure appreciate your saying so. It means so much that there are people out there who care. I devoted much of my life to medical care providing and now what? And btw, the second half of my admission stay was actually their fault. (blood poisoning) I could have sued them.

@Grateful4you Money must be the last concern for the elderly. And also, healthcare MUST BE free for everyone! This makes me angry. What do they expect from people? Do they expect them to work +40 hours a week even after retirement to pay their hospital bills?
@LookingForTheSummer Exactly right. I've just had too many serious medical issues. I'm also on too many meds.

@LookingForTheSummer Ikr. Meanwhile some filthy rich families sit on the entire world's money, while we work our assess off all our lives just to have medical debts after retirement. This is a depressing world. Health isn't a luxury.

@LookingForTheSummer It is free if you ignore the correspondence. There’s really not much the collection people can do if you’re not intimidated. Intimidation is what they rely on. Other than that, maybe you can go find some utopia and move there.
